We would like to gain more knowledge on the impact of ticks on the health and welfare of (dairy) cows. Thereby taking into account the upcoming changes in husbandry systems (increase in grazing) and climate. As of this year we have started small exploratory research with student groups into the prevalence of ticks on their dairy farms. We are looking for partners with knowledge and interest in vector borne diseases. As well as partners who can study the tick and possible disease more in detail.
