1. Novel Technologies for Prevention, Detection, Assessment and Management of Animal Health and Welfare
I have attained a doctoral degree in the modeling of animal welfare, with several published articles to my credit, and I am presently spearheading a significant project in this domain. Within this endeavor, we aim to predict the impact of welfare on milk parameters by utilizing data on animal behavior, blood, and milk parameters. Through the application of advanced modeling techniques, network analyses, and predictive methods, we endeavor to elucidate the relationships between non-directly measurable variables such as psychological stress, health, and immunity, ultimately forecasting welfare and its effects on growth, milk production, and other parameters. This is the essence of my primary focus.
In our commitment to bridging the literature gap in welfare modeling, my team of laboratory experts, software developers, veterinarians, and animal scientists are diligently developing projects. We are focused on the development of sensors, their application, and the transformation of these innovations into market-ready products.
In conclusion, I extend an invitation to researchers to join us as partners in either 1. modeling and/or 2. sensor development, as we advance our quest to enhance animal welfare through groundbreaking research and innovative solutions.
Harran University’s Faculty of Agriculture, Animal Science, and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine boast laboratories and researchers of exceptional calibre. Our team comprises 10 senior researchers and several doctoral students, whose work has already made a significant impact. Collaborating with seasoned researchers from the electronics and software departments, we are engaged in sensor development, behavior monitoring, and the increasingly prevalent use of artificial intelligence. These efforts are being meticulously projected to assess and enhance animal welfare.
Beyond these capabilities, our team possesses profound knowledge and practical skills, ensuring a comprehensive approach to advancing this critical field.
