Bioname seeks collaboration with partners in animal health, veterinary science, aquaculture, microbiology, ecology, and environmental monitoring. We are particularly interested in projects requiring DNA-based pathogen detection, microbial community profiling, microbial early warning indicators, environmental sample based surveillance (water, manure, soil), or sequencing based monitoring systems. We can contribute laboratory workflows, eDNA methods, metabarcoding, and advanced bioinformatics within Actions 003-3 and 005-4.

Our expertise includes DNA based pathogen detection, the use of microbial community shifts as early-warning indicators, and environmental sample based surveillance using water, manure, soil, and other challenging matrices. We develop and apply sequencing based monitoring systems, metabarcoding workflows, and robust bioinformatics pipelines for large and complex datasets. Bioname also has deep expertise in animal diseases and the regulatory frameworks governing them, enabling us to support projects focused on early detection, surveillance, and control of biological risks.
