Title: PET-AI: AI-Driven Companion Animal Health Monitoring for Early Disease Detection

Concept:
PET-AI addresses a critical gap in companion animal health and welfare by combining wearable monitoring devices, AI-based diagnostics, and veterinary expertise. Many cats and dogs suffer from preventable or late-detected conditions such as obesity, arthritis, dermatological issues, and zoonotic diseases. PET-AI proposes a digital platform integrating sensor data, behavioral and imaging AI analysis, and secure veterinary dashboards to enable early disease detection and intervention.

Objectives:

Develop and deploy wearable devices to monitor pet vitals, activity, and stress indicators.

Implement AI algorithms for behavioral analysis and imaging-based diagnostics.

Pilot test the system in veterinary clinics across multiple countries.

Train veterinarians and pet owners on data interpretation and welfare practices.

Support policy recommendations and dissemination for improved EU companion animal welfare standards.

Expected Impact:
