Applied research expertise in Agrifood, Behavioral and Natural Resource Economics
1. Animal Welfare
CREDA is looking to join a consortium under EUPAHW Call 2 to contribute to the Supporting Socio-Economic Actions. In particular, we can provide expertise in sub-topic OO9-2 Assess socio-economic implications of changes in livestock and fish farming, including shifts in public demand for higher welfare standards and new legislative requirements."
CREDA counts with extensive experience in:
- Socioeconomic and policy impact assessment in the agrifood sector
- Consumer behaviour analysis from innovations in agrifood practices and/or regulatory changes.
We can design and implement robust impact and welfare assessments, stakeholder evidence, and policy-relevant analysis to strengthen the proposal’s Impact section and adoption pathway.
CREDA – Research Centre for Agrifood Economics and Development is a Spanish Public Research Institution, with more than 20 years of international recognition in agrifood economics.
The research team provides state-of-the-art methods and analytical capacity to assess socioeconomic impacts and welfare changes linked to animal welfare practices and regulatory interventions.
We have strong expertise in consumer behaviour and public demand analysis related to changes in agrifood practices, whether driven by innovation on the supply side or by new regulatory requirements, including policy impact assessment and evidence synthesis to support decision-making.
