animal brucellosis, digital decision support platform, regions with vaccine priority, strains for vaccines, environment animal movements
2. Prevention and Control
About Project :
Main Idea:
We are not developing vaccines!!! We are not practicing veterinary medicine, but we are empowering veterinary decisions.
We are developing a digital infrastructure that administratively directs the process of determining where, in which type, which strain, and which brand vaccine R&D should be developed.
Objective:
Taking into account the limitations of existing vaccines for animal brucellosis and accumulated experience in the field;
• Integrating animal-human-environment dynamics
• Identifying potential and targeted species/strains for vaccines
• Simulating the public health and economic efficiency of vaccine scenarios
Developing a One Health digital decision support platform.
Why is this Project Necessary?
• There is a VACCINE for brucellosis.
The Problem: The question “Which animal, where, and which vaccine can be administered?” cannot be answered.
• Vaccine development is expensive → wrong target → wasted resources
• Human cases often consist of those found in animal vaccine systems.
• EU and non-neighboring data fragmentation…
Expected Tangible Outcomes
• First One Health vaccine brightening platform for brucellosis
• Scientific evidence guiding vaccine R&D investments
• Potential reduction scenarios in human cases
• Direct input into EUPAHW policy policies
GENOMX is an SME located in Izmir North TEKMER, focused on digital health technologies, clinical research coordination, and supporting the applicability of excellent solutions in real-life settings. The company aims to transform technological innovations into meaningful, ethical, and applicable results in clinical and healthcare systems.
While GENOMX is not a healthcare provider, it possesses strong clinical insights thanks to the long-standing experience of clinician-academic partners in the fields of rare infections, vaccination, personalized medicine, healthcare software, and healthcare. This clinical experience contributes to the real-life care components of advanced health technologies and the accurate assessment of application barriers in healthcare systems.
We prepared the project proposal “Digital Vaccine Prioritization and Impact Estimation Platform for Brucellosis Control in a One Health Perspective (BRU-DIGI-VAX)” for the EUPAHW - European Partnership for Animal Health and Welfare 2026 Call.
Meanwhile, the planned potential consortium profile is as follows:
• ≥3 EU countries
• Animal health-veterinary centers
• Epidemiology and health policy group
