We are a multidisciplinary team of veterinarians and animal scientists with expertise in both applied and sociological research on animal welfare and health, with a primary focus on poultry, pigs, and egg quality. We work closely with industry partners to improve animal health and welfare by translating scientific insights into practical on-farm interventions.
Aeres offers a practice-oriented student farm with various housing systems that can be used for trials, as well as a dedicated Poultry Innovation Lab for experimental and scientific research. Our facilities are equipped with advanced egg quality measurement systems from Bröring Technology GmbH, enabling automated assessment of breaking strength, Haugh units (albumen quality), egg colour, and shell thickness.
We are keen to expand our research network and actively seek collaboration with partners interested in joint research and innovative projects.
