Our department represented Türkiye in the EU's 7th Framework Programme on animal welfare, the "Aware" project. Our team includes expert academics with expertise in the scientific and framework regulations related to the breeding, welfare, improvement, environmental and stress management, slaughter, and transport of domestic and laboratory animals.

Our Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is EAEVE accredited. Our department has expert academics, laboratories, demonstration/practice farms and experimental units, networks and collaborations with animal breeders.
