We are seeking cooperation within the program to advance the development of novel animal vaccines. Our expertise covers molecular virology, delivery vector design, molecular cloning, and gene expression analysis, primarily in vitro, with the capability to extend studies to in vivo models when required.
Our experience regarding vaccine development:
i) Self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) technology. We have been developing saRNA platforms for antigen expression and have extensive experience with alphavirus-based replicons.
ii) Mutagenesis of viruses for attenuation purposes, predominantly with alpha- and flaviviruses, but not strictly limited.
Our proposed contribution aligns with OO8, with links to OO7.
We are particularly interested in partnering with organizations that aim develop animal vaccines against a pathogen of their choice, combining our platform and technical knowhow with relevant disease models and application expertise.
We are the largest research organization in natural sciences in Estonia, with a strong focus on microbiology, molecular biology and biomedicine. Based at the Institute of Bioengineering, we are dedicated to developing innovative scientific and technological solutions. Our work is supported by a broad range of capabilities, including advanced screening facilities and protein structure modelling, enabling us to address complex biological questions from discovery to application.
