This submission is an Expression of Interest to participate as a partner in projects to be developed under the EUPAHW framework. GAP International Agricultural Research and Training Center (GAP UTAEM) is willing to contribute as a project partner / implementing partner, providing field-based expertise, research infrastructure and regional experience in animal health and welfare.

GAP International Agricultural Research and Training Center (GAP UTAEM) is a public research and training institution operating under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye. The Center conducts applied research, field implementation and capacity-building activities in agriculture and livestock production, with a strong focus on regions characterized by hot and semi-arid climatic conditions.

In the field of animal health and welfare, GAP UTAEM works on improving animal welfare standards, preventive health measures, and monitoring approaches in cattle and small ruminant production systems. The Center supports disease prevention, early detection and control strategies through field-based studies, good husbandry practices and farmer-oriented training programmes. With its research infrastructure and extensive farmer network, GAP UTAEM contributes to sustainable, welfare-oriented and resilient livestock systems at regional and international levels.
